After months of great anticipation and breathtaking Barbiecore aesthetics, the live-action rendition of Barbie is finally here! Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film stars Margot Robbie as the iconic Mattel doll and Ryan Gosling as Barbie’s partner, Ken.

The movie is set to hit cinemas on July 21, just two days after its star-studded launch. Hosted by Warner Music, the movie premiere was hosted at the Mall of Africa in Johannesburg. Boasting some of Mzansi’s best fashionistas, the event’s pink carpet was the epitome of Barbie’s favourite hue.
