Throughout September, Mihlali graced our Instagram feeds with her most elegant ensembles yet. The beauty guru nailed monochrome aesthetics through chic looks that included wrap dresses, bright colours, and modish designs.
Moreover, fashion month permeated our feeds for the past few weeks, with attendees styling themselves to the nines. Halle Bailey looked bright and beautiful in a lime-coloured belted blazer dress at the Dolce & Gabbana show during London Fashion Week, preserving her blazer dress signature. In Paris, Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert made her Parisian Fashion Week in style adorning a crystal white flower gown as the global ambassador for Loreal Paris. Meanwhile, Kylie Jenner made headlines after making an entrance in a scarlet red gown at the Acne Studios – in true Kardashian-Jenner Fashion.
Victoria Monèt took monochromatic (and metallic-inspired) dressing to a sheer and sophisticated space for a front-row stint at Beyonce’s Renaissance tour, with a silver ensemble comprising a metallic blazer, shorts, and calf boots. Luxury fashion brand Balmain inspired the inner bombshell contained within us all, an archetype well represented by their collections at Paris Fashion Week, the stand-out items being their vintage-esque showcases on the runway. Elsewhere, singing sensation Elaine made the case for a pink fur coat (the next-gen of the throwback accessory?), a look best paired with a tank top and flare-leg jeans reminiscent of the early 2000s. There were also some more formal outfits on the gram this month. South Africa’s media darling Bonang Matheba changed everyone’s perspective about wearing designer from head to toe when she dazzled at Gucci Ancora in a luxe suit, bag, and strap heels from the fashion house.
Before fashion month madness kicked off in New York Fashion Week, the VMAs saw an array of stylish ensembles with entertainment industry A-listers putting their best foot forward on the red carpet. One of the stand-out fashion moments was Megan Thee Stallion’s black sheer, figure-hugging dress. You know you’re unstoppable when even your Getty Images photo set is popping!
