Her artistry has been showcased at some of the country’s biggest cultural moments, including the Metro FM Music Awards, Hollywoodbets Durban July, GQ’s Best Dressed Awards and AFI Fashion Week. Her work has also recently been featured on the Times Square billboard in New York through a Spotify campaign, while collaborations with leading brands such as Levi’s Africa, PUMA and Nivea have further cemented her place within the industry.
Known for her signature approach of fresh, radiant skin paired with expressive beauty moments, Andi has worked extensively with artists including Moozlie, Zee Nxumalo and Anele Zondo, contributing to campaigns and award-winning creative projects, including Zondo’s Ingwe music video. As South Africa celebrates Women’s Month under the theme, “Empowered Women Empower the Nation,” Andi believes that empowering women creates change far beyond the individual.
“To me, ‘Empowered Women Empower the Nation’ is a reminder that when women are given opportunities to grow, lead, and create, the impact extends far beyond the individual. It strengthens families, communities, industries, and the economy. As someone building a career in the beauty and creative industries, I see empowerment as using my skills not only to help people look their best, but to help them feel confident, seen, and capable. Beauty has the power to transform how someone carries themselves, and confidence often becomes the first step toward pursuing bigger opportunities.”
For Andi, beauty has always been a form of storytelling. Her journey into makeup was shaped by seeing how artistry could influence confidence and help people feel empowered during some of life’s most important moments.
“Beauty has always been more than makeup to me—it has always been about transformation, confidence, artistry and storytelling. What inspired me to pursue it professionally was seeing the impact it could have on how people felt about themselves and how that changed the way they move within the world. Founding Ethereal Artistry was a natural extension of that passion. I wanted to build a brand that reflected individuality, creativity, professionalism, and excellence while creating meaningful and personal experiences for every client. Over the years, it has evolved beyond a makeup business into a platform that celebrates beauty as a form of self-expression, confidence, and artistry.”

“It’s been an inspiring, creatively liberating and an exciting journey for me. “The time spent in my chair is an opportunity to really wind down, reconnect with yourself and prepare for an important moment with confidence and peace of mind. I want my clients to feel seen, celebrated and comfortable in their own skin. The experience should simultaneously relax you and boost your confidence.”
As a creative entrepreneur, Andi understands that growth requires curiosity, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning. She continues to explore new techniques and trends while remaining connected to her own artistic identity.
“For me, the best way to staying creative within the constantly evolving beauty industry is staying curious and remaining teachable. Staying creative also means trying new techniques, trends and products to stay knowledgable and find what works best for you and your clientele. As long as you stay true to yourself, your perspective will always remain uniquely yours.”
Building Ethereal Artistry has also taught Andi important lessons about resilience and perseverance. Like many women entrepreneurs, she has navigated uncertainty while continuing to invest in her craft and her vision.
“I’ve learned that success isn’t always linear. There have been quieter seasons that tested my resilience and forced me to adapt, invest in new skills, and find creative ways to grow my business.
Building Ethereal Artistry has taught me that entrepreneurship is about far more than talent, it’s about resilience, discipline, and having the courage to keep showing up for your vision. Every challenge has strengthened my confidence, sharpened my purpose, and reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.”
Although her work has appeared on major covers and stages, Andi says some of her most meaningful experiences happen away from the cameras.
“I find that the most memorable experiences as a makeup artist have been the smaller ones, ironically. The moments in between, the chronicles of ‘The Glam room’. The one place where a client feels safe enough to be in their most vulnerable state both literally and figuratively. It almost feels like a sacred place, where we bond through conversation, laughter, silence, and sometimes even tears.
Over the years, I’ve realised that my role extends far beyond applying the best makeup. I’ve celebrated milestones, listened to stories of love and loss, witnessed moments of self-doubt transform into confidence, and had the privilege of reminding women of the beauty they already possess.”
Representation remains central to Andi’s artistry. She believes beauty should celebrate individuality rather than create limitations around what women are expected to look like.
“I approach every client with the understanding of how deeply personal the idea of beauty is to each individual. I take the time to listen, understand their vision so that I can create a look that feels most authentic to who they are. Every person has their own aesthetic preferences according to their personal taste and personal ideal image of beauty, as an MUA I believe that my role is to enhance what makes each individual unique instead of trying to make everyone fit the same beauty standard.”
For aspiring creatives, Andi’s advice is rooted in courage, consistency and authenticity.
“The best advice I can think of, is to start before you feel ready. They’ll never be a perfect moment where you feel ready enough but you’ll begin to see growth from taking action and learning as you go. Believe in your unique perspective. Comparison can be one of the biggest obstacles in a creative career, but authenticity is what sets you apart.”
As Ethereal Artistry continues to grow, Andi hopes to build a legacy that extends beyond makeup by creating opportunities, sharing knowledge and inspiring women to invest in themselves.
“My hope is that Ethereal Artistry will be remembered as a brand that inspired confidence, celebrated individuality, and redefined beauty as something that begins from within. I want to mentor aspiring artists, create meaningful content, collaborate with brands that align with my values, and continue using my voice to inspire women to invest in themselves, both inside and out.”
