On Saturday, 1 August, Elizabeth Arden South Africa celebrated its newest fragrance, Elizabeth Arden Eternal Aura Eau de Parfum, with a heartfelt celebration of womanhood at Divine Sunset in Midrand. More than the launch of a new fragrance, “Let Your Aura Bloom” became a celebration of the remarkable women whose lives remind us that beauty is found not only in who we are today, but in every chapter that has shaped us.
In the weeks leading up to the event, hundreds of nominations were received from across South Africa as women honoured the extraordinary women in their lives. Mothers, sisters, daughters, colleagues, mentors and friends were recognised by those who had witnessed their compassion, perseverance and unwavering spirit. Each nomination served as a reminder that behind every woman is a story worth celebrating, and that some of life’s most meaningful legacies are recognised not by the women themselves, but by those whose lives they have touched.
From these heartfelt nominations, more than 40 inspiring women were invited to attend the exclusive launch event, where they were celebrated for the impact they have made on the people and communities around them. It was an afternoon filled with gratitude, connection and the shared belief that every woman deserves to be seen, celebrated and honoured for the path she has walked.

The stories shared throughout the campaign reflected the extraordinary spirit of South African women. Some transformed personal hardship into purpose by establishing organisations that uplift communities and create opportunities for others. Others rebuilt their lives after devastating illness, profound loss or unimaginable trauma, choosing hope and using their experiences to support women walking similar paths. Quiet acts of service proved just as powerful, with women dedicating decades to education, healthcare and community upliftment without ever seeking recognition. There were entrepreneurs, mothers, mentors and changemakers who refused to let discrimination, self-doubt or impossible circumstances define them. While every story was unique, they were united by one powerful truth: our greatest growth often comes from the chapters we never expected to write.
Guest speaker Kayise Ngqula added a deeply personal voice to the day as she reflected on the public journey of grief and healing she has navigated since surviving the tragic 2019 car accident that claimed the life of her husband, Farai Sibanda, just 10 months into their marriage. By sharing how she has learned to carry profound loss while continuing to live with purpose, Kayise reminded guests that blooming does not erase the chapters that broke us. It honours the courage it takes to keep growing through them.
