Every year, without fail, the prestigious MET Gala ceremony brings together an incredible crowd of fashion designers, models, and the brightest stars of music and film in celebration of the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition. “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” was this year’s show, and it drew from the Costume Institute’s own permanent collection to highlight the multi-sensory experience of wearing clothes.
This year’s dress code, “The Garden of Time,” propelled a myriad of interpretations, which yielded many looks that surprise and delight.
Arguably the best-dressed celebrity at the fashion affair, Grammy Award-winning South African singer, Tyla made her MET Gala in grand fashion as she channeled her inner goddess in a sand-esque custom Balmain gown. The style montage’s details, namely the swipes of sand on her arms, as well as an hourglass purse with sand inside it, made the look all the more glorious.
The 2024 MET Gala red carpet co-chaired Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth – all of whom can be frequently found on best-dressed lists. Like every one of their previous showcases, the trio did not disappoint.

For her second look of the night, Zendaya was draped in vintage Givenchy Couture, styled with a flower bouquet from the Alexander McQueen S/S 2007 collection by Philip Treacy.
Other standout fashion moments on the carpet included Nicki Minaj, who dazzled the carpet in an avant-garde custom Marni look, as well as Cardi B who opted for drama with a custom Windowsen couture gown.
