This year, Moët & Chandon colours the world in red – a symbol of human connection, love, and celebration, the very essence of our Maison.

As the golden light of summer stretches across South Africa, the spirit of celebration takes centre stage – luminous, inviting and full of joy. No moment, grand or intimate, is complete without a bottle of the world’s finest champagne. Moët & Chandon is giving you one more reason to raise a glass this festive season, as it launches the first-ever Moët & Chandon Festive Pop-Up in Hyde Park Corner, Johannesburg, alongside the limited-edition Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial, dressed in red, and Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial, dressed in pink. An elegant immersion into the world of French celebration, Moët & Chandon’s spirit of savoir-fête meets South African summer, creating a moment of delight for all who enter.

To ring in the Moët & Chandon Festive Holiday Pop-Up and a season of celebration, Friends of the House reflect on this year’s special moments, the small wins and big triumphs, as they look forward to how and where they’ll be toasting with loved ones.

CELEBRATING THE PAST, TOASTING THE FUTURE

For nearly three centuries, Moët & Chandon has defined the art of celebration or savoir fête – not simply by perfecting tradition, but by reimagining it with every passing year. Each bottle carries both memory and momentum: a reminder that reflection and renewal are inseparable.

As another year draws to a close, the Maison’s Friends of the House embody that same philosophy – reflecting on their journeys while looking ahead to bold new horizons.

International TV Host, MC and actress Zozi Tunzi’s reflections are grounded in renewal. Her year has been marked by reinvention: from marrying the love of her life to stepping onto global screens in her first acting role for Netflix’s Bad Influencer, and quietly recording new music set for release in 2026. “2026 feels like the beginning of my second act, beyond pageantry – exploring storytelling in all its forms.”

Reflection, for Maps Maponyane, is a luxury in motion – an appreciation of the journey as much as the end goal. This year, Maps has been building his dream home in Johannesburg, expanding his creative ventures, and celebrating the freedom of a life designed with intention. “I’m living a life I once only imagined,” he shares. “That, for me, is the ultimate Moët moment.”

Actress and filmmaker Nambitha Ben-Mazwi’s reflection begins with gratitude. “The festive season to me means reflecting on milestones and prayers answered,” she says. This year, her story has been one of fearless expansion – crossing into European cinema, taking on her first executive producing role, and marking ten years since she left corporate life to follow her calling in the arts.

For presenter, musician, and multihyphenate creative Zulu Mkhathini, celebration is rooted in connection, a toast not only to personal wins but to collective triumphs. “It’s been a year of watching the people I love grow in beautiful ways,” he reflects. Yet Zulu’s own journey has been equally defining: growing his company, expanding into new creative ventures, and preparing for his return to music in 2026.

“Our history and traditions shape who we are”
he says,“but the fearless part comes in how we reinterpret and adapt those beliefs for the modern age. What we do today becomes the tradition and inspiration for the future. Moët & Chandon may be rooted as a beverage brand, but they’ve evolved far beyond that – becoming a symbol of excellence across sports, lifestyle, entertainment, and culture, and that’s something I deeply admire.”

Moët & Chandon invites you to celebrate passion and vitality, qualities embodied by an emblematic colour: red. Far more than a mere hue, it is a warm expression of love, joy, and sharing, core values of the Maison. During this festive season, red infuses a vibrant energy, warming tables and illuminating the precious moments of the year-end celebrations.

A memorable celebration feels effortless yet unforgettable, says music artist.

and actress music artist and actress, Zozi Tunzi. “For me, it’s a combination of laughter, music, storytelling, and the energy of people who matter most. Moët & Chandon elevates these moments – it’s been present at some of my life’s most important milestones.”

Set to be a highlight of Johannesburg’s festive calendar, the Moët & Chandon Festive Pop-Up at Hyde Park Corner is where joy takes form – a celebration of generosity, connection, and French art de vivre.

Guests will step into an immersive world of champagne and light, where they can personalise their limited-edition red bottle, strike a pose before the Moët & Chandon mirror, and take home a Polaroid keepsake of their Moët moment. Here, every visitor becomes part of the Maison’s story – a reminder that luxury, at its finest, is meant to be shared. Now all that’s left to do is set the mood, and Maps is a master: “Instead of multitasking life away, I focus on the laughter in the room, the stories shared over a glass of Moët & Chandon, and the luxury of simply being with the people who matter. It’s all about intentional connection, with a side of sparkle.”

Just as every vintage captures the spirit of its time – shaped by the seasons, perfected by craftsmanship – these moments of reflection become milestones of legacy. In life, as in champagne, the art lies in balance: between the past that grounds us, and the future that awaits its first toast. And where better place to start, than the Moët & Chandon Festive Pop-Up.

The Moët & Chandon Festive Pop-Up runs from 14th November to 7th December.
