H&M South Africa marked the launch of its anticipated A/W26 collection with the A/W Sound Lounge, an elevated rooftop experience at Sandton City in Johannesburg on 21 March bringing together the brand’s signature fusion of fashion and music. Set against the city skyline, the event unfolded as a curated celebration of style and sound.

The A/W Sound Lounge was headlined by foremost South African music artists Zee Nxumalo and DBN Gogo, with talented DJs Pona & NKLY, Lelowhatsgood, MCHLSN and Deniece Marz completing the lineup to ensure a dynamic atmosphere that stayed closely attuned to the pulse of local culture.

Beyond the stage, guests were invited to explore a series of experiential touchpoints
from an H&M Beauty nail bar to photo moments and a customisation station each designed to celebrate individuality and style. Attendees, including Nomalanga Shozi, LordKez and Money Badoo, embodied the spirit of the A/W collection through bold, expressive looks.

In the spirit of inclusivity, the A/W Sound Lounge was open to all, with customers able to sign up to H&M Fashion News for an opportunity to win tickets to the event. Earlier in the day, customers were also given access to one-on-one meet-and-greet sessions with Zee Nxumalo and DBN Gogo at the H&M Sandton City store.

“Being part of this moment with H&M feels really special. Fashion and music go hand in hand for me, so it’s great to work with a brand that celebrates individuality and self-expression.” Zee Nxumalo

H&M’s A/W26 collection channels the glamorous spirit of the 70s, infused with the rebellious energy of the 90s.
A/W26 consists of two drops, with the first chapter looking to the cultural revolution of late 90s Britain when a range of boundary-defying creatives, artists, musicians and style icons redefined self-expression and attitude. The collection offers versatile styling options, and a mix of elevated and everyday pieces that invite customers to experiment with print, textures, layering and silhouettes.
