Some people step into the spotlight and instantly leave an imprint, not just with their talent but with the energy they bring to every role, project, and conversation. Asiphe Ntuli is one of those rare multi-hyphenates who wears many creative hats with effortless grace — actress, producer, acting coach, digital creator, and the visionary behind Star Thespians. Her journey is proof that passion and purpose can coexist beautifully.
On screen, Asiphe embodies characters with a depth and authenticity that draws you in. Off screen, she’s nurturing the next generation of performers, equipping them with the tools and confidence to navigate a competitive industry — all while raising her daughter, who remains at the heart of everything she does. Whether she’s stepping into a dramatic, twist-filled storyline or guiding a young actor through their first monologue, her dedication to the craft shines through.
In this exclusive beauty feature, Asiphe lets us in on her latest role in Amalanga Awafani, her personal style and beauty essentials, and the advice she lives by. She also opens up about the inspiration behind her company, the importance of staying ready for opportunity, and the love for her daughter that keeps her grounded in the middle of it all.

You wear many hats, one of them being actress. What can you tell us about your character in Amalanga Awafani, and what excited you about joining this story?
Thank you. I play the character Xoli Shabalala, and what an honour it is to portray such an elegant, go-getter, courageous woman. What excited me about getting this role is how much of a lover of life Xoli is and how much we both have that in common. I also get to work with some of my classmates from drama school and some colleagues I met before we were announced as the cast of Amalanga Awafani.
The show is dramatic, chaotic, and full of twists — from stolen goats to long-lost fathers. What was it like stepping into that world on set?
It was very interesting, emotional, and funny. It evoked a lot of emotions at once and continues to do so till the present.
Alongside acting, you’re a producer, acting coach, and founder of Star Thespians. How do you balance all your creative passions?
It’s not always easy, honestly, but I absolutely LOVE what I do (all of it) to the point that I simply don’t mind putting in the extra hours. My work is my passion and all I’ve ever wanted to do as a little girl.

What inspired you to start Star Thespians, and what impact are you hoping to make through the company?
Lovely question. Well, Star Thespians is not an agency — I do not represent talent. We just train and coach talent, getting them ready for the industry. What inspired me to start this company is actually my own struggles as a young emerging artist. After graduating from drama school, I needed a place where I could continue to train and exercise my acting muscle and couldn’t find one. Star Thespians acts as exactly that — my students get to personally work with an acting coach and also work in groups with other peers. I believe it’s very important to keep working on the craft, especially off set and off stage.

As someone shaping the next generation of performers, what advice do you always give young talent?
Never stop learning and sharpening your skills so that when the opportunity comes, it finds you ready. Never give up, because in this industry you will get many no’s, but it only takes one yes.
As a digital creator, you’ve worked with some incredible fashion and beauty brands. How would you describe your personal style?
Comfortable, modest, classy, hot.
What are your beauty must-haves, especially when juggling on-set days and content creation?
Lip gloss, water, wipes, and bubble gum.
