We had a chat with the rising star who shared her favourite things with us, from her humble abode to her loving family.
Travelling
I find an immense amount of joy in getting to explore different parts of life and earth. There’s something so exhilarating about learning how different people live, how different cultures work and most of all how beautiful all parts of the world are in their own unique ways. I have travelled to over 8 countries outside of South Africa and I cannot wait to add more countries to that list!
Theatre
Whether it be performing on a stage in a theatre or being an audience member and watching a production in the theatre, theatre is like home to me. As a fellow thespian I grew up in a family filled with thespians and got the opportunity to be on a stage from a young age and best of all watch some of the greatest performers during their rehearsal process which played a huge role in my love and passion for acting and storytelling.
My morning & night routines
I start my day by talking to God first and foremost which is then always followed by me drinking my vitamins and having a cup of tea, mostly green tea. Once those three steps are done, I’m literally ready to face the day whether it be heading to the gym first or hopping in the shower to get ready for my day. My night routine also starts with making a cup of green tea lol followed by my five-step face routine, planning for the next day and making sure I have done all my admin for the day, and last of all a prayer to give thanks for the day.
My humble abode
Although I’m barely in my place because I travel a lot lol, my space is my favourite place to escape to and recoup with myself. I would say my favourite thing about my place outside of my bed is the view, without going into too much detail I always refer to it as my own little haven surrounded by hills and the sound of nature.
Maintenance day
I mean who doesn’t love a good maintenance day right? I absolutely love and enjoy being pampered and making sure I always feel and look my best. Although I sometimes don’t have the patience that comes with sitting in a salon chair haha I do really enjoy the results that come with a good maintenance day.
Cooking
The kitchen is my playground. I enjoy exploring flavours and different ways to prepare a meal but most of all I think I really enjoy seeing my loved ones enjoy the food I’ve made for them out of love. I’d like to refer to myself as a natural nurturer and cooking for my loved ones is definitely one of my favourite ways of showing TLC.
Work
The people in my life like to refer to me as a workaholic but I think work enthusiast is a better term! I absolutely love what I do whether it be being on set, creating content, creative directing, attending events and meetings or even just getting to meet new people in my space of work. Working and reaching new heights in my career really fulfils me.
Praying
The time that I get to spend conversing with God always has and always will give me a sense of tranquillity greater than I could fathom. Prayer is my go-to solution for anything in my life, good and bad- it helps me remember to always let go of things that I cannot change and seek wisdom and understanding of what the trial and tribulation I’m faced with is meant to teach me.
Spending time with friends
Friendship is one of the best gifts life has offered me, I always refer to my friends as my chosen guardian angels. My friends are truly like family to me and I absolutely enjoy making memories with them, they have been with me at my worst and at my best and we will always find a way to laugh at the end of the day because life is never so serious that you can’t joke around with those you love.
My Family
My immediate and extended family have played the biggest role in me being who I am today. Being around them always reminds me that I am a result of abundant love and happiness. They are my evidence of God’s never-ending love for me.
