Acclaimed beauty and lifestyle digital creator Mbali Mkhize is taking the clean girl aesthetic to new heights with the launch of her cutting-edge beauty brand, Kliin Group. Launched in early September, the imprint is tailored for beauty enthusiasts who desire luxurious and wholesome beauty products, without breaking the bank.
Boasting an audience of over 26,000 subscribers and 250,000 followers on YouTube and Instagram, respectively, Mbali is undisputedly a force to be reckoned with in the digital beauty space. The beauty guru was first introduced to the greater South African public as a cast member on the first season of The Bachelor South Africa where she made a voluntary surprise exit, citing that the show did not align with her ethos.
Before Kliin Group’s highly-anticipated launch, Mbali Mkhize hosted her abundantly successful “Master Your Clean” Masterclasses where she imparted her expertise about aesthetics. With a strong supporter base of beauty enthusiasts, it only makes sense that Mbali embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship in the industry.
Despite heavy public scrutiny during its introduction phase, the influencer marketing industry has grown significantly over the last decade, with digital creators such as Mbali Mkhize blazing the trail. Today, it is nearly impossible for growing brands to succeed without partnerships with influencers and social media channels. Moreover, the industry reached a record revenue of 21.1 billion U.S. dollars earlier this year, proving its free market dominance.
It is said that a fresh start isn’t a new place – it’s a new mindset. Speaking about the motivation behind the launch of her luxe beauty imprint, Mbali expressed that it was inspired by her drive to change her life for the better.
“I woke up one morning and decided that I was going to change my life. I decided to be more mindful about what I put in my body. I quit alcohol, started eating healthier, and lost a lot of weight. Most importantly, I strengthened my relationship with God. The Bible says “cleanliness is next to Godliness.” That’s how Kliin, the name came about. Kliin is a direct translation of “clean” but is spelt differently,” shared Mbali.
According to the digital creator, Kliin Beauty is no ordinary brand. Instead, it is a lifestyle. Compromising a richly nourishing face cream, moisturising body lotion, shimmering body oil, and good-quality hair – the brand’s focus on holistic beauty is evident.
“Kliin is a lifestyle! We are a body, face, and hair company. Hence the name Kliin Group. We just want to make women feel good in their skin without breaking the bank. Therefore, we are an affordable and accessible luxury brand,” expressed Mbali.

Rooted in promoting and providing high-quality beauty products, Kliin Group’s competitive advantage undoubtedly sets it apart from other cosmetics brands in the market. Speaking about her calling to establish a luxurious yet affordable brand, Mbali shared that she thinks competition in the beauty market is a good thing.
“Kliin Group’s edge is that there isn’t anyone doing it like us. Even if there is, they aren’t Kliin Group and that’s our superpower. I firmly believe that the more the merrier. If the women who inspire me had been discouraged from launching their brands because of the seemingly saturated market, we wouldn’t have Hermosa Flor Cosmetics or Fenty Beauty. My brand represents my lifestyle so it felt right to share that so other women can make it part of their lifestyles. Launching my own brand has had its challenges but it has been instrumental in my growth,” said Mbali.
Since its prodigious launch, Mbali Mkhize’s brainchild has sold various products, including the raved shimmery body oil. Giving us a glimpse into what we can expect from Kliin Group going forward, Mbali urged beauty enthusiasts to expect never-seen-before products, glowing skin, high-quality hair, as well as affordable jewellery.
