On 28 September, H&M and ELIE SAAB toasted the forthcoming arrival of their anticipated collaboration – a distinctive collection spanning ready-to-wear, evening finery and accessories. The event was attended by Amelia Gray, Gabbriette, Iris Law, Anok Yai, Imaan Hammam, Lila Moss, Marisa Abela and Calum Harper. Miss Universe 2019, actress and TV host Zozibini Tunzi, together with broadcaster, actress and model Nomalanga Shozi, represented South Africa at the event as friends of the brand.
The evening featured a special appearance by Robin S, who performed various hits, including her iconic 1990s song, “Show Me Love”. Kim Turnbull, Inès Rau and Ella Knight performed DJ sets, adding to the atmosphere of celebration.
Guests were treated to a first glimpse of an unexpected special addition to the upcoming ELIE SAAB H&M collection: a bridal gown and veil, which sits alongside the broader range of embellished gowns, sharp tailoring and lacy separates. The bridal addition brings ELIE SAAB’s longstanding bridal heritage to the collaboration. The dress was revealed as Robin S performed, with a model appearing amongst the crowd in the mermaid-shaped gown – cut with a dramatic train at the back, and a twisting off-the-shoulder top – and hand-embroidered veil.
The event was held at the historic Palais Brongniart in the centre of Paris. The space was draped in a rich burgundy fabric, creating a cocoon of glamour, elegance and beauty for guests. Guests arrived to a long red carpet evoking ELIE SAAB’s enduring legacy on the world’s most celebrated red carpets.

The ELIE SAAB H&M collection will launch in South Africa on 22 October at Sandton City, V&A Waterfront and online via Superbalist.
